Happy 100th Post to me!!!
Should I eat some cake maybe? Some chocolate chips perhaps? I'm thinking we may have a giant stash of chocolate candy from Christmas. ****Mind is saying Yes...body is saying "that bodyattack class tonight will not be wasted."****
Hmmmm...maybe later when i've lost more of my regard for things like bodyattack classes.
And now on a personal note. If you are feeling priveleged, you should. I can be very open with some things, but with matters of personal health, my mouth just shuts for some unknown reason. And by unknown reason, I actually mean that I know the reason and that is...I hate being judged. And it happens too often. But I've decided to open up just in case someone else is experiencing some of the same things I've experienced in the past 5 years. And actually, I won't be getting nearly as personal as I could for the sake of myself and all my readers (ALL as in the ones I pay to read my blog. Love you guys...check is in the mail)
Have you ever uttered these words?
"This is not normal"
"You are a walking health condition"
"What the heck is wrong with me?"
"Seriously?" With a confused look on the face.
"It's like a mystery. We need more clues."
Just wondering. SO many things in the last 5 years have CHANGED from good to bad to "what the...am I dying?" as far as my health is concerned. I've been juggled from doctor to doctor to doctor just to have them look at me like I'm a crazy woman. I could read their thought bubbles...they probably said things like, "ok...your ____(insert anything here...it's all applicable) has changed...right...use _____(insert solution here...none of it worked)." and "Did I mention you might be making this up?" and "let's talk about hypochondria..."
So you can imagine my delight that I feel my emotional roller coaster slowing. My sister made me make an appointment with an allergist. (I mean it, she made me and I am forever grateful). I am not allergic to anything, but this guy is seriously so smart. Honors from top schools and awards and yada yada yada. HE LISTENED TO EVERY SYMPTOM and didn't discount me. I could've cried from joy. And lo and behold he found something. Not saying its the end of my problems, but I think he's onto something at least.
So have you ever heard of....mixed connective tissue disease? Yeah me neither. Here's the website if you are interested. Click Here. I'm not going to mention the other diseases I have, but this one could actually be causing a big part of my dicomfort. Probably not all.
Maybe I'll feel better. Maybe I won't, but having answers, even small ones, makes the biggest difference in the world of chronic pain. If you have it, you know what I mean.
Prayers get answered. Maybe not so quickly, but they do.
And now...something guaranteed to make you laugh. A telling picture drawn by our very own Maci.

I'll translate. On the left is Maci saying "it's disgusting." In the middle is me, holding my nose. On the right is Jared saying, "it's wonderful". And the little bubbles, well I'll leave some for the imagination. I told you this post was personal. (:
Now let's have some cake.

Jared
I am so happy for you that there are steps in the right direction...it's about time, huh? :)
Jared and Kempton have much in common! Seriously, the girls don't do THAT even half as much!
hahahahah Oh Summer you are sooo witty and hilarious, along with your adorable Macy, LOL. And I had no idea you were going through stuff like that, and I'm very glad for you to have some answers AND bless you for sharing it to maybe help others as well. Best of blessings on more answers and solutions for you.
I'm glad you found a dr. who would listen to you! Hope something works out, it's no fun to have health issues and worse not to have solutions. I enjoy reading your posts-the way you write is really fun. Macy is also a really funny girl!
Summer- We had no clue about any of that, we're so sorry about how frustrating it must be! However, your fun & witty attitude is what probably makes you so strong. I hope you get more answers and less pain! Thanks for sharing.
Gosh, sorry Summer! I hope you know I am only a phone call away if you ever need anything. And that little artwork of Maci's is way better then I thought as you explained it to me earlier...she is such a character!
Finally answers! I know this has been a long road and many have prayers have been heard. I hope this will help bring you comfort both physically and emotionally. I can't imagine what you have been through all while be a Mommy and wife! You go girl :) We love you and can't wait to see you.
I'm so glad you have something wrong with you! Wait...I mean, I'm so glad that we KNOW there is something wrong with you...hmmm...maybe there isn't a good way to say that. How 'bout this "Thank you Docta!" And Will and I laughed out loud at Maci's picture. It would also describe life at our house with our daddy. It's disgusting.
Summer I am so glad you have recieved some answers. Health issues are the worst, It does seem like it is just a matter of finding a Doctor that really cares. I have dealt with so many doctors that don't care and I hate how crazy it does make you feel. Thank goodness you finally have some answers and you know that you are not crazy.
I am so glad you are getting some answers. That is a relief. When I got my answers, it made everything make sense that was happening physically in my life... it helped me onto the next step -- learning to live with it and coping with that reality. I hope that all is well for you. I just love reading your blog. Your comments always make me laugh... you are so witty and clever!
I love all of you and all of your compliments! Thank you all for the support. (: You espescially, Jared...even with your "bubble" issues. (:
Summer, I am so glad you are finding answers! I have multiple questions for you regarding this disease, I think I may have the same thing. Can you please email me? phillntiffcox@hotmail.com THANKS!
Hi Summer. I haven't caught up in awhile. How are things? I hope from the post they will be getting better soon. I have gone private so send your email and I will add you. Good Luck with everything!
I am so glad to hear you have figured out some issues. Its not fun to be in pain everyday and not know what it is for/from. If you need anything let us help . We love ya!!
My friend her swear by a Dr. that is an acupuncturist - I had Gregg going to her for chronic back pain from an injury 10+ years ago. She has done remarkable work with some of my friends kids - helping heal allergies and other stuff. I am not sure what exactly you are suffering from, but it might help (the acupuncturist here is really cool, and the way she 'reads' your body just makes sense to me).
That picture is worth framing! So funny. And I walk around pretty much every day wondering what is going on with me so that IS totally normal. I have decided nothing is normal and everything changes too quickly.
