Nothing better than a giant chocolate egg at 8:00 in the morning!
Let's just say the Jelly Belly filled eggs did not last long!
I love that there isn't a whole lot of pressure for this holiday so I could concentrate on what it was all about. We really had a fun Easter and it was even better that we could spend it with family.
Strong and spirited. You're no one's girly girl; actually you are very determined person with a strong sense of self. Never let go of that! The only thing that equals your sense of self is your family, but the traditions of society can always be bent to protect something or someone you love.
I couldn't wait to tell this one. We have a pile of words that Maci has said in our home that have been deemed naughty words. So one of those words is "stupid". Problem is that Jared and I keep slipping up. I can tell she's getting sick and tired of reminding us to watch our words. The other day Jared, Maci and I were driving home and Jared was briefly venting for some reason or another. He said, "that is so stupid". I said, "uh oh, here it comes". In the back of the car you could hear Maci take the deepest breath she could muster and yelled so loud it came out hoarse, "we don't... say...STUPID!" (the dots are spaces between her words that she added for emphasis.) So then Jared goes, "Man, she catches everything." Then in the funniest, trying to be the angry adult in charge voice with spaces between and emphasis on her words Maci says, "I...CATCH...THINGS!". Maybe you had to be there, but if you know how little Jared laughs at kids, it will tell you something to know that he was laughing pretty hard.
This is a typical day in Maci's life. Pay special attention to the little dance at the end. My favorite!
Jared's birthday was on the 25th of February. And on the 24th and 23rd and 22nd. We love long birthdays around here! We couldn't be more blessed to have such a wonderful provider, protector, comedian, peace-keeper, singer, friend, husband and daddy! We love you, Jared! (I especially love your birthdays since mine are always going to be a lower number...ha ha ha)
Please feel free to share your favorite thing/moment about Jared. I'll go first: my favorite thing about Jared is that he is never against spontaneity. Driving is one of our most fun things to do and it doesn't matter if it's a waste of gas. We've had some of our best moments on drives...for example: he first said "I love you", we talked about marriage, and got engaged all on (seperate) trips. Talk about spontaneous! You're the best, Jared, and happy birthday last month!
