Maci's not in school, but she thinks she is because she has a playgroup twice a week that we call school. So these pictures are Maci in her new "school clothes". Look how happy she is that she thinks she goes to school. Kids are a riot.

Shoot For the Stars
If you tell your kids they can be anything they want when they grow up, you may end up with an exchange similar to mine and Maci's yesterday:
Me: "Maci you are getting so big"
Maci: "Yeah, I'm getting bigger everyday! And I'm getting bigger and bigger and when I get so big I'll turn into a shark."
Me: "You'll turn into a shark when you get bigger?"
Maci: "Actually, I think I'll turn into a crocodile when I get bigger." (said thoughtfully, as if this was a realistic choice)
Me: "And what will you do when you're a crocodile?"
Maci: "I'll eat you. I'll eat you all gone. I'll eat your face all gone, and your body all gone, and your arms and your legs and your hair." (she says this in an exasperated way, like she can't believe it herself, but this will happen.)
At this point she started doing her best crocodile impression and telling me all the people that crocodiles eat. So while you're all dreaming of your kid curing cancer, walking on the moon, or perhaps singing on the radio, mine is turning into a crocodile. That's my Maci, always shooting for the stars. Maybe we shouldn't go to Rainforest Cafe anymore.
