Things I've Learned

Things I've Learned in the last week
1. That morphine button really works wonders 2. I can fall asleep while putting in my contacts 3. I can fall asleep while standing up 4. I can love another child as much as I love Maci...amazing 5. Jared is such a good dad 6. It's not cute to have a tummy AFTER the baby (: 7. Babies don't just smile because of gas...and who ever said that's why they smile anyway? 8. I love my new baby so much that I don't mind getting 3 hours of sleep a day. Seriously, nothing else could make me do that. 9. Planned surgery is way better than unplanned surgery 10. I am the luckiest girl in the world
(*Warning you that there is a graphic picture, so if you don't like blood you may want to skip the first one)
It's all worth it! But still disgusting.
She came out screaming and it was such a great sound
I love my baby!
Maci rocks as a big sister
Proud sisters
Proud Daddy with his girls!
I love her pouty mouth
Proud (and exhausted) mommy!
Cale and Suzette visiting at the hospital
Sweet cousins!

I swear this was a responsive smile to Jared. She did it more than once and was looking him right in the eye. I think babies can smile responsively right away.
First day home! I love her tiny self.
I love the clean baby smell
Maci is so sweet to baby Paige!
Thank you all for your comments on the previous post! It makes our event so much more exciting when we know you are all excited for us. too!

So so cute! It is amazing how you can love another child as much as the first! It's so much fun with 2-and yeah, I have to agree, nothing else in the world would be worth it to miss that much sleep.

Oh Summer she is just such a doll! And I totally agree on the smiling issue!! Amiah came out screaming (not crying, SCREAMING) and then smiling. She smiled at the dr at her 2 day check up and he said "oh its a reflex or gas" but when she did it huge and me constantly at her 2 week check up he said, "Yes, I would say she is certainly social smiling. That's rare". And she hasn't stopped smiling since! Congrats!

She is so beautiful, Summer. There is just nothing like a newborn baby. I am sure you are exhausted! Being a mom of two must be so overwhelming... but you are a GREAT mom and so I'm sure you are a total natural! :)
